2. Parasite Eve
With the remakes of Resident Evil, one thing becomes very clear: recreating creepy monsters with modern day tech creates the most powerful form of nightmare fuel imaginable.
This in mind, there is a perfect candidate for a suitably horrific remaster: Parasite Eve. While Resident Evil got far more attention, it's not unfair to say that many of the Parasite Eve's monster are arguably more unsettling, especially if you include Parasite Eve 2 and its awful, stare-into-your-soul Chasers.
This isn't to suggest that rad monster design is the only cool thing about Parasite Eve, as it possess a pretty interesting - if classically over-the-top - storyline.
Said story sees you get into an epic battle on top of the half-destroyed Statue of Liberty, to give you some kind of idea what you're getting into.
It's gross, it's creepy, and it's altogether impossible to put down. In an age where we are able to fully and lovingly render gross giblets and gore as much as we want, it only seems right that Parasite Eve finally get its day in the sun.
