The Xbox One's launch titles might not have been the cream of the crop but there was some great titles to enjoy regardless. Dead Rising has always created zombie-filled playgrounds for players and when Dead Rising 3 was first revealed, some feared it was taking a dramatic turn into a grown-up territory. Thankfully, while the game might initially seem a lot less colourful, it's still full of over-the-top action and comedy moments. After all, very few games would allow you to combine a machine gun with a giant teddy bear and turn it into a sentry gun, equally skilled in mowing down zombies and making cute noises. Crazy combo weapons like this are a must, especially when tackling the huge numbers of zombies presented by the game. With the improved capabilities of the One, there's an incredible number of zombies on screen at once - you'll be stunned when you exit the game's tutorial mission and gaze out at an immense horde ambling around. Surprisingly, slaughtering them never gets old, thanks to the range of weapons and vehicles at Nick's disposal. Yes, the story is pretty naff but the joy of Dead Rising 3 is the way it constantly encourages you to get creative in your zombie massacres. This is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and it's a blast to play as a result.
