Release Date: March 22nd 2013 (EU) Gears of War: Judgment is the fourth game in the series and follows the story of some guy no one cares about (Lt. Damon Baird) and his group of scallywags who have apparently done something a wee bit naughty, and are on trial awaiting judgment; see how the title ties in? Chatting about why Judgment is going to be terrible is like walking down a familiar country road. You know where all the lumps and bumps are, so nothing surprises you. But to quickly wrap this up; the plot judging by the other titles is going to be as delicious as a teeth sandwich. The combat will work, but is nothing more than an over-done, rehashed system that farther time has not been kind too. Graphically, the game is showing its age, even from the little we€™ve seen so far. I€™m sick of the brown, grey fest that the series has forever had and please someone for the love of God stick Baird in a pretty pink dress and a wonderful bonnet, yeah it would look ridiculous, but at least there would be some colour. The set pieces will be all too familiar to those of us who have wasted our time in the land of monotony, but for those who haven€™t I€™ll sum it up. Huge monsters, a hell of a lot of gun battles which isn€™t a bad thing, but because of the similarity between them, they all blur into one. And the overly manly dialogue which to me, comes across as compensating for something. The voice acting will be performed by actors who think that shouting with a mouth full of pebbles produces a macho sound. I know I am tremendously critical, but this is something we can all agree on. Just because someone drinks gravels every morning doesn€™t mean he€™s the manliest man in all of mandom. It makes him sound like an arse.
