10 Mature Film Franchises That Would Make Great LEGO Video Games
4. The Matrix Trilogy
You're in one of two camps when it comes to The Matrix video games. Either you enjoyed the brief four-year lifespan of The Matrix Online, or you spent time regretting the day you ever bought Enter the Matrix and/or The Path of Neo.
What's more, many fans like to quietly deny the existence of film sequels Reloaded and Revolutions. Plots were needlessly bloated, action sequences became overwrought and the less said about CGI Neo the better.
But a decent LEGO game could change all that. It could poke fun at all of the clunky exposition, make fun of the ridiculous CGI fights and take the light-hearted approach that LEGO City Undercover did. Make it a tribute as well as gently mocking the trilogy. It's been long enough. Old wounds heal.
The range of settings and levels are perfect: the classic dojo one-on-one between Morpheus and Neo, rescuing Morpheus from agents, the freeway sequence from Reloaded, the, err...nightclub shootout from Revolutions?! Maybe put that last one in a cutscene.
Defending Zion from the machines though? YES.
