10 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Hitman
1. The First Game's Writing/Acting Was On Par With Resident Evil
Why Hitman: Codename 47 hasn't appeared on countdown lists of unintentionally gut-busting dialogue and vocal performances is a mystery.
When you look at it, Hitman's plot is a bit like film noir; it focuses on a lone protagonist with very few allies in a cruel world, dispensing justice in the form of bullets from a silenced sniper rifle.
The developers were a bit new to writing the whole thing, and on occasions, 47 narrates quite a lot in Codename 47, with great lines such as: "Columbia... from what I've heard, even the butterflies are corrupt and smuggling drugs."
Thought that was bad? Check out this wooden, borderline-racist performance below.
The gruff voice was still there (ish), but Bateson’s performance was pretty corny. Other voice actors were likely other developers trying to do some Asian accents, and the like. The results were, erm, interesting.
