10 Most Anticipated 2020 Video Games

7. Final Fantasy VII Remake

The Last Of Us 2 Ellie
Square Enix

Release Date: 3 March

It says a lot about the time we live in that a remake is high on our list of the most anticipated 2020 video games, but soaking in the endless depths of nostalgia and reliving "the glory days" is something that - don't deny it - we all love to do, so yeah, we can't bloody wait to play the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Bring it on.

Since this is a rework of one of the greatest RPGs of all time, there's a guarantee of quality here that the other games on this list don't necessarily possess. It's strange gearing up to play a game that you know will at least be good, but that's the fortunate position we find ourselves in here.

While we won't get the full game this March (it's releasing episodically), all Square Enix has to do is, y'know, remake the original, give it a few modern touch-ups, and inject it into our eyeballs. Hopefully they don't mess it up.
