10 Most Anticipated Nintendo Switch Exclusives Of 2019
3. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
Release date: January 18, 2019
Nine years is a long time, whichever way you spin it, but Goichi "Suda51" Suda isn't deterred by the gaping hole in time that sits between 2010's No More Heroes 2 and this year's sequel, he's making a directorial comeback to ensure Travis Touchdown gets his own.
Slyly confirmed during Nintendo's Switch reveal presser way back in 2017 and subsequently cemented as an exclusive for the console, Travis Strikes Again will mark the titular video game-loving otaku's return in just a few short weeks to take on Badman in a gauntlet of head-to-head contests.
Both contenders have been consumed by a phantom games console, forced into slashing their way through several hand-crafted, fictional games to determine which one deserves ejection back into real life, and while each title is wholly unique, Grasshopper is promising several very meta references to revered indie inspirators like Shovel Knight.
The premise is enough to make your head spin, but check out the gameplay trailer below - it should help to untangle your imagination and paint a clearer picture of Grasshopper's angle for Travis' side adventure before the inevitable No More Heroes 3.
