4. Nikita Launcher - Metal Gear Solid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6P1nf_XD2Y&t=3m26s Metal Gear Solid is a video game with a frankly awesome array of weaponry, and many might try to argue that Solid Snake's Stinger Launcher is a far more badass weapon than the Nikita Launcher, if only because you end up taking down a freaking military helicopter with it mid-way through the game. However, the personal touch of the Nikita Launcher really pips it here, as the player gets to decide what happens once they pull the trigger. The Nikita Launcher first comes in handy just prior to the third boss fight against the Cyborg Ninja, when you come to a floor that is electrified, meaning you can't get across. Deepthroat suggests using your launcher to destroy the system powering the electricity that's just around the corner. You then have to equip the launcher, fire it, and then guide the missile around using the analogue sticks until you reach the power core and blow it up. Also, pressing the Triangle button allows you to see through the rocket's camera in first "person" view, and though this is a cool feature, it's a lot harder to see where walls and other objects that might cause you to prematurely detonate are. Still, the sheer invention associated with the weapon - and the influence it's had on many subsequent rocket launchers - means it's totally badass.
