10 Most Beloved Gaming Consoles Of All Time

7. PSP

Overshadowed mightily by arguably the best handheld to ever be released (more on that later), Sony's first foray into the portable console game was a rip-roaring success. Sure, there were a few flaws, such as the lack of duel-thumbstick support, which made moving the camera in most games an unbelievable, unnecessary chore, but the fact there are still people banging on about the PSP, even when a successor - the PS Vita - has been released for years, shows just how nifty a piece of hardware it is. Japan gobbled the PSP up nicely, and the system lends itself well to RPG and 'one more shot' fighting games as a result. Again, the Vita may have improved on the PSP in several key areas, but the sheer volume of games, plus the ability to customise and play emulators (if you're that way inclined) means the PSP will live on for a little longer than most gimmick consoles. Best games: Daxter, God Of War - Chains Of Olympus, GTA - Vice City Stories, MGS - Peace Walker, Persona 3 Portable.
