10 Most Creative Guns In Video Games
8. Bane – Borderlands 2
Bane is one of the biggest "Haha, gotcha!'s by developers in a video game, and for that has become one of the most celebrated – and most annoying – video game guns in existence.
Players can get access to this unique weapon after completing the mission 'The Bane' and are instantly excited by the incredible stats: hugely increased damage (it is the most powerful submachine gun in the game) and a huge magazine size. Okay, there's the downsize that accuracy suffers slightly, but that wasn't enough for many of us to heed the warning that the gun is cursed.
The gun actually comes equipped with a voice modulator and every action – whether you're firing, swapping weapons or reloading – it accompanied by the high-pitched, squeaky voice mimicking the sounds of the gun or narrating what you're doing. The noises are hilarious and annoying in equal measure, made all the worse by the fact that they remain even if you try to turn down the in-game volume.
Despite the unique noises of the gun, most of us actually love it for it – the real curse of the gun is that it slows your character's movement to the point that surviving any fire-fight becomes extremely difficult.
