10 Most Disappointing Games Of The Decade (So Far)
8. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition
A remaster compendium of the original 3D Grand Theft Auto trilogy - that is, GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas - should've been un-screwupable if Rockstar gave the project even the most half-assed oversight.
But Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition launched to disastrous reviews due to the abundance of bugs present throughout, as well as woefully unsatisfactory visual curiosities such as eyesore-inducing raindrops.
Overall it was clear that Rockstar cranked this thing out on the cheap and without sufficient care, safe in the knowledge that remasters of three of the most beloved games of all time would sell gangbusters regardless. And indeed they did.
But these games deserved so much more care and attention. In an era where the debate about games preservation is more heated than ever, it's enormously depressing to see one of the biggest publishers on the planet showing so little respect for their own legacy - or players' hard-earned cash.
