10 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2018
5. The Inpatient
Even though they've delivered one of the best horror games of the generation in Until Dawn, Supermassive Games have gradually fallen from grace ever since. Rather than producing another AAA experience, the team split off to work on Sony's PSVR, which initially birthed the great Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. Sadly, what followed was Bravo Team, a terrible VR shooter and Hidden Agenda, an ambitious but deeply flawed multiplayer experiment.
Fortunately, The Inpatient looked to turn the tide. Although it was still playing in the VR toybox, the horror game was returning to the Until Dawn setting, with some pretty crisp-looking visuals and the promise of a terrifying story to boot. If there were two things Supermassive didn't stop delivering during their experiments it was great horror and great stories, so The Inpatient couldn't fail, right?
Well, what should have been one of PSVR's biggest hitters ended up as nothing more than a damp squib. A short, underwhelming experience that failed to be even as scary as the on-rails shooter Rush of Blood, The Inpatient was the poster child for the PSVR's difficult few months at the start of the year.
