10 Most Disturbing Dark Souls Bosses

4. The Lost Sinner

A boss players will come up against during their journey through Dark Souls 2, The Lost Sinner is arguably one of the most frightening enemies this game has to offer.

Locked away in their own prison deep within Sinners' Rise, this boss's identity is veiled in mystery, even for a Souls game. The little that is known about them, though, makes them entirely disturbing.

Sealed away of their own free will in order to eternally punish themselves for attempting to relight the first flame, the Sinner's choice of wardrobe sheds some light on the self-inflicted suffering they endure.

Referred to as the Penal set, this outfit includes such fashion statements as a mask that presses spikes into the face, a constricting straitjacket, and a set of handcuffs. Likewise, trails of dried blood can be found in their cell, alongside blood-scrawled writings.

And if any of that doesn't sound disturbing enough, when we first see this boss we're greeted with the image of a bug crawling into their eye. Some fans believe this creepy-crawly is the same Chaos Bug found in the first game, implying the Sinner is under the control of the Witch Of Izalith.
