Arachnophobes look away now.

Lurking deep within the mines of Dark Souls 2's Brightstone Cove Tseldora, past massive webs containing hundreds of bones, lies The Duke's Dear Freja. And if you haven't guessed by now, she's a horrifyingly giant spider, with a head on each end of her skin-crawling body.

Described in the game as the keeper of The Writhing Ruin, an ancient dark entity that's theorised to be a remnant of Seath The Scaleless' soul, this arachnid was the source of a parasitic spider infestation that ravaged the area. The duke, who was infatuated by spiders, grew obsessed with Freja as he tried to learn more about her.

As if the thought of facing one giant, two-headed spider wasn't frightening enough, the arena is also swarming with her minions, who'll continuously spawn in during the duration of the battle.

The only way to squash this spider is to attack either one of her heads, since her skin is highly resistant to all damage. Do enough damage to either head, and you'll decapitate it. But if you're weapon isn't strong enough, you'll be left with an invincible headless spider - and that's even more disturbing.
