Following a terrible car accident, Simon Jarrett is left with serious brain injuries.

Agreeing to undergo a radical new brain scan, Simon blacks out only to wake up some ninety years later in an unfamiliar and horrifying environment.

The player takes Simon on a journey throughout this bizarre underwater research station, encountering horrific scenes of carnage and death, bodies and blood scattered throughout the complex.

Adding to this nightmare scenario, half man/half machine chimeras abound, looking to destroy anybody in their path, namely Simon.

Later in the game - Spoiler Alert - Simon learns that he is in fact not Simon; the real, human Simon died back in 2015, and the player has been in control of a machine the whole time, albeit a machine with a copy of Simon's consciousness mapped into its very circuitry.

This throws up a whole raft of uncomfortable questions about the nature of consciousness itself, what it truly means to be human, whether a machine can ever hold the same value as a flesh and blood person, all against the backdrop of a terrifying, perilous, and claustrophobic underwater station, infested with all manner of enemies.

A true, cerebral nightmare which will keep you awake for countless nights to come.
