10 Most Disturbing Video Game Commercials

7. Super Mario World 2 - There's Just No Need For This

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPJJQHF4tTo You don't need to be Don Draper to know that a commercial should make people want to watch it, rather than turn away from it in disgust. And there's nothing watchable about an overweight man gluttonously stuffing his face with an assortment of vile foods before his bowels explode over everyone around him. But wait, isn't this Yoshi's Island €“ one of the prettiest pixel games of all time €“ we're talking about here? Yes, apparently this is the best metaphor Nintendo could come up with for how much content is crammed into the game. Maybe this ad would've been bearable if it was a bit more cutesy, but it's just so nasty and visceral. From the amplified squelching sound of him eating to the grotesque visuals - what is that tumorous-looking thing he's eating at 0:09? And why does the fluid he explodes over everyone have to so authentically... sh**ty? No need for that, Nintendo. No need.
