7. Fighting Oddjob, Goldeneye Multi-player (N64)

No one is arguing the greatness of Goldeneye. It was a revolutionary shooter whose influence can be felt in the genre even today. That being said, battling someone playing as Oddjob, one of the classic Bond villains included in Goldeneyes multiplayer, is perhaps one of most infuriating tasks in the history of gaming. Essentially, Oddjob was a major short-arse, meaning if you wanted to hit him, you had to aim down, which wasnt as simple a task with one analogue stick as it is today, with two. As a vague handicap, Rare limited Oddjobs line-of-sight to be the shortest of the multiplayer characters, meaning he had to get close in order to kill effectively. But anyone playing him would invariably strafe around you, meaning as you followed him with your crosshair, your aim would be reset to its central position, sending your poorly-timed bullets sailing right over his head, leaving him to take leisurely pot-shots into your spinning midriff. And this was way before online multiplayer; the main source of your frustration wouldnt be the countless defeats, but the face of your best friend, whod be sneering and taunting you as your kill/death ratio spiraled into the laughable extremes.
