10 Most INFURIATING Legend Of Zelda Dungeons

5. Great Bay Temple

There’s an argument to be made that Majora’s Mask’s Stone Tower Temple is the finest dungeon in all of Zelda. It’s a level which requires alteration (midway through you turn the whole place upside down), but it never becomes needlessly complicated or frustrating.

The previous level, the Great Bay Temple, similarly revolves around a mechanic which shifts the way the dungeon works, only this one can become beyond trying. It’s a water-based dungeon - a bad start - which tasks the player with changing the flow of the current in order to maneuver from room to room.

This relies on the player having an expert grasp of Zora Link’s swimming controls. This is unwieldy to say the least, by no means capable of the precision required to comfortable navigate the level.

Combined with the pressures of doing it all against the clock (what with the looming threat of the moon crashing down on Termina) and an underwhelming boss (easily the game’s worst) and the Great Bay Temple is most likely the lowlight of the game.
