The game boasts a unique targeting system called VATS, which can be activated during combat and allow you to take your time deciding which part of your enemy's body you want to fire at, be it their head, their legs, their hands, their chest and so on. What's great is that once you start amassing powerful rifles and shotguns, this allows for some extremely gnarly possibilities indeed, such as having your foe's head fly off in a bloody mist, and you're able to dismember enemies or, in extreme cases, even liquidate them (as you can see in the video above). There's even a perk early on in the game that allows you to make the deaths gorier, causing enemies to explode violently when shot, which makes an already sadistically entertaining game that little bit more fun. What's great is that the modding community has enhanced this even further, with more elaborate gore and points of impact. Lovely.
