5. End Of The Line - GTA: San Andreas

The finale of GTA: San Andreas is one of the most complex and lengthy missions of the game. Not only does it implement all the various gameplay elements in a fair but challenging way, but does so in a way that satisfyingly wraps up all the loose ends of the story.

It all begins with an assault on Big Smoke's hideout, who betrayed CJ and the Grove Street Families. You hijack a SWAT tank and crash it into Smoke's hideout, after which you shoot your way through the facility until you reach your old friend. After this tragic boss fight, Officer Tenpenny interjects ,and the chase is on as he tries to ride away in a firetruck; one of the defining moments of the series.

The coup de gras of this is the end of Tenpenny, who has been a thorn in CJ's side all throughout the game, and it's extremely satisfying seeing this slimy character meet his maker. This mission isn't perfect, especially when you spend so much of it chasing a firetruck, but the payoff is worth it, and even after all these years it's still one many of the fans still remember completing.
