10 Most Overrated Nintendo Switch Games
6. Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee/Pikachu
As is the story with a lot of the games on this list, Pokémon Let's Go! is fine.
It's a remake of a Gameboy game from 1998, with half decent graphics and nothing groundbreaking whatsoever. Yet it's made the top 10 of the Switch library. It towers above many, many excellent games, why?!
Again, if companies think they can get away with phoning it in, they will.
It's a very middle of the road, child-friendly JRPG experience - nothing more, nothing less.
At time of release, folks were still waiting for the next major instalment and hoping for something killer, but this was a serviceable stop gap. So it's a hard game to criticise as it never made any bold claims. It was never trying to be anything other than a remake with a new coat of paint and Pokémon GO's catching system.
It's just that Pokémon is the most profitable franchise in the world, so it's hard not to expect the folks in charge to give gamers a AAA experience.
Oh, well, maybe the next instalment will be better.
