4. Mass Effect 2
The Mass Effect series is revered as one of the best of all-time - even if that reputation has been sullied in recent years. The most beloved of the series is, easily Mass Effect 2. However ME2 can be a boring slog in which you land on a planet, run to point A, get in trouble, and shoot your way back to your ship.
Rinse, repeat.
Well, now that we've got that out of the way. Let's be clear, Mass Effect 2 is a good game; the things it does well, like the character development and voice acting, it really excels at. Where the game falls short however, and this is true of the entire series, is mission structure, gameplay, and the universe itself.
Considering we're supposed to be travelling all over the galaxy, it's incredibly frustrating that each planet looks pretty much the same; the same boring building designs, the same med-packs, the same enemies, etc. And, as mentioned, each mission requires you to travel from A to B, shoot aliens, and run back to your ship. It can be painfully repetitive.
