10 Most Replayable Opening Sequences In Video Game History

10. God Of War 3

God Of War 2 ended on a bit of a cliff-hanger (well, mountain hanger if you want to get technical), with everyone€™s favourite bald badass Kratos climbing Mount Olympus with an army of Titans to kill the Gods once and for all. Fans had to wait four long years until they found out what happened next, but God Of War 3 delivered the goods by having one of the most epic opening set-pieces in video game history. In just the first 20 minutes players climbed the mountain on top of the titan Gaia, fought Poseidon€™s parasites several times and ventured inside Gaia€™s giant body before finally confronting the water God himself and violently ripping his head off. The rest of the game didn€™t disappoint, either. It€™s a beautiful, visceral hack 'n slash that€™s widely regarded as one of the best games of its era.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
