The ocean has long been considered by humanity to hold all manner of secrets. But Rapture wasn't exactly what we'd hoped to find.
In 2007, however, Rapture was what we got, and by God, was it beautiful.
Sci-Fi meets cyberpunk in this unnerving action RPG that saw players take control of Jack, whose plane crashes in the ocean, leading him to discover the underwater city which has haunted our nightmares ever since.
Bioshock's story kept players on their toes the first time round with its numerous twists and turns, and although the major plot points have since lost their shock value, the story has retained its sheen, untarnished by time.
As with any self-respecting RPG, there are so many different ways to play that it almost guarantees replay value, but with Bioshock, that is only compounded by the games incredibly unique feel and charm.
It's creepy, it's beautiful and it's action-packed. Bioshock demands to be experienced again and again, and it never gets old.
