10 Most Ridiculous Things You Did For Gaming

9. Bought Remastered/Limited Edition Games

What is it about Limited Edition copies of things that attract us so much?

With nearly all games in the last twenty years coming to players in the form of a disc, all we ever needed to store them away safely was a standard case. But for some reason, we're occasionally drawn to bulky tin boxes that not only contain the game, but an ancillary and needless accessory.

Perhaps, buying the Collectors Edition of a game unlocked hidden levels, characters or opportunities? But (and this will come up later on in this list), the concept of an incomplete game being sold in such a way, reminds us that the video game industry has a sneaky way of tricking us into paying full price for something incomplete.

What if you really liked the game, and you were fine with a bit of memorabilia on the side? That's more than alright, but there is a doubt in the back of your mind that you probably wouldn't have bought that item separately. So why pay an extra £15 for this one?

Just because your copy of The Last Of Us came in a shiny metal case, doesn't make it any better than the standard plastic one.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
