6. Clickers - The Last Of Us Part II

Introduced in the original Last of Us game but just as horrifying in the sequel. Clickers represent the third stage of those inflicted with the Cordyceps virus.

They can be identified by their heads that have been enveloped by fungal growth and their lack of eyes. This is good for you because they can’t see. Yay! But not so great because they can use echolocation and quickly find you if you make any noise. Less yay. Once they’re onto you, you’re in trouble. They’re plenty tough and capable of taking you out instantly if they get their hands on you.

On the upside Ellie’s switchblade can quickly dispense of these nasty mutated critters, but no such luck with Abby who will need to craft shivs to take care of them in the same manner.

Due to their lethality you’ll spend a lot of time praying you don’t disturb these guys and they’ll just keep their horrifying clicky utterances amongst themselves.
