8. Dead Space The First Slasher
Dead Space has to be one of the most fraught, eerily atmospheric games ever made by human hands. Its packed full of terrifying moments if Im honest, and any one of them could have made this list with ease. Still the scariest moment of all has to be one of the very first moments in the game. Dead Space makes you feel like youre constantly under duress, and heres where the feeling originates. After narrowly escaping the clutches of the first Slasher in the lift, youre allowed a temporary moment of respite. This is short lived however, as through the first door awaits a second Slasher and this time its up to you to put it down solo. Meaning, if you were anything like me, it really was brown trousers time.
