9. The Grizzly Bear - Condemned 2: Bloodshot

Condemned: Criminal Origins is rightly looked back on as a solid horror game that was home to numerous pants-wettingly scary set-pieces that players are likely to never forget.

The sequel, however...

Whilst not without its charms, Condemned 2: Bloodshot is often seen as a huge step down in quality and a huge left-turn into utter absurdity. Ditching the gritty and grimy nature of the first game in favour of something much more overblown and fantastical.

Yet, despite its shortcomings, it can still bring the fear when it wants to and the presence of the rabid grizzly bear is one of its finest moments.

Upon entering the basement of a snow-covered chalet, players are greeted with numerous signs of carnage but no indication as to what has caused it. So imagine the shock when you turn a corner and are put face-to-face with a giant grizzly bear that proceeds to chase you through an increasingly narrow set of corridors and crawl spaces, all the while you search for any kind of weapon to try and fend it off.

Sadly, it's a very short-lived section but one that's certainly ingrained in the minds of those that have played this often maligned sequel.
