10 Most Under-Appreciated Video Games In MAJOR Franchises

1. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Far Cry 2
Nintendo

There are so many great video games that have been underestimated or discounted, purely because they weren't available on a console. GTA: Chinatown Wars. Resistance: Retribution. Killzone: Liberation.

And then, there's The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. When Nintendo fans debate which is the best entry in the medieval fantasy series, this 3DS exclusive is rarely mentioned.

However, anyone who's played this masterpiece should be bewildered to understand why that's the case. Although Breath of the Wild was applauded for its non-linear progression, A Link Between Worlds did it first, since Link can tackle dungeons in any order he sees fit. The mechanic that allows Link to pass freely through walls as a 2D painting literally adds a new dimension to the gameplay.

Characters like Ravio, Yuga, Hilda, and Irene are such great additions to LoZ lore, fans hope to see them appear in the future. The new Sand Rod and the Tornado Rod are among the most imaginative items in the whole franchise. The creative puzzles, the epic bosses, the luscious graphics, honestly, I could go on and on.

This instalment is so good, it's genuinely difficult to pinpoint a single flaw. (The Cucco mini-game is a little annoying, but that's pretty much it.) It's a bold claim, but A Link Between Worlds is up there with the heavy hitters, like A Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, and Ocarina of Time.
