Nightmare fuel.

Those that were lucky enough to play Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire will know that fighting the Giant Dianoga in the sewer level of this game is nothing but pure nightmare fuel.

Apologies to those who had repressed the memories of facing this tentacled beast from hell, but this horrifying boss had to make the list.

Released in 1996, Shadows Of The Empire had incredible space battles, speeder bike races, jet packs and legendary showdowns with ruthless bounty hunters Boba Fett and IG-88.

It also had one of the most terrifying levels in any video game made to date in The Sewers Of Imperial City.

After battling through the sewers in search of The Dark Prince, Dash (the rebel ally) comes across a large pool of sewage water with no way around it. After dropping in, he comes face to face with a massive sewage dwelling Dianoga with never-ending tentacles and the mouth of a sarlacc.

The murky sewage water makes the fight even more horrifying as the tentacles pop out of nowhere whilst you try to shoot it in its eye. Shudder.
