The Dragon's Dogma games draw heavily on creatures of legend and mythology, including Griffins, Chimeras, and the famous Sphinx. You've probably seen that last one's infamously uncanny face even if you've not played the game. However, another less beast-like figure the game pits you against is the Headless Horseman, otherwise known as Dullahan, and, oh boy, it is one hell of an encounter. 

Finding one of these creatures is tricky, as they can only appear during very specific times of day - or, more specifically, night. That said, it's worth doing as it will test your skills to the max. They offer an incredible challenge as they can blast you with devastating ranged strikes, tough AoE melee hits, an ear-shattering scream attack, and more. You'll be pushed to your limits with this battle.
