6. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q22A9aRrUIw I was flicking through the channels one day on Sky looking for something to watch when my eyes fell on this beauty of a film. I enjoyed played the Dungeon Siege games as a child, so thought I'd check the film out. Huge mistake. How Boll manages to get a star-studded task to work in his films is beyond me. Surely some of these actors realise that the man can't possibly be sane just by looking at not only his past films but his comments. For the first few minutes the film seems to stick the main story of the game. We're in the Kingdom of Ehb and we're following a farmer in a small village (which is suddenly attacked). At this point, though, Boll seems to have a stroke of genius and decides that even though he's added the phrase "Dungeon Siege" into the movie title, he doesn't actually have to follow the plot of the game. What follows is another terrible Uwe Boll film that has nothing to do with the game bar using the same names for towns and creatures. Even though he's promised not to make another film with such a large budget, he still seems to be pushing out more films with a third sequel to the film coming out sometime this year.
