6. The Game Breaks Its Own Rules Immediately - Life Is Strange

Life Is Strange follows a photographer called Max who learns she can rewind time. When she sees a classmate kill her childhood friend in the school bathroom, Max instinctively using her powers for the first time, returning her to her classroom shortly before the murder took place.

However, this is the only time where Max returns to her original, physical position when she time-travels. Every other time, she stays exactly where she is. This inconsistency is extra confusing since this is the first time we've seen Max utilise her powers so we assume they'll always work like this.

Some players point out Max moved position the first time she time-travelled since she had yet to master her powers. However, being able to move in time AND space is a lot more handy, so it doesn't make sense why she loses this ability after she becomes more efficient with her rewinding skills.

You could forgive this irregularity if it was needed for the sake of the narrative. But it isn't. If her powers worked the same to begin with as they do for the rest of the game, it wouldn't have affected the opening sequence at all.
