10 Open-World Video Games You Must Play Before You Die

Yeah, this one pretty much had to be on here. There's good reason for that.

Easily the most mainstream open-world game of all time, Skyrim became so popular and beloved for one pretty simple reason- it's practically endless.

The moment you step out into the world of Skyrim is the moment you realise how truly expansive the world is. There's hundreds upon hundreds of things to find, quests to do, people to meet and enemies to fight and that's the sheer beauty of it. Never has there been a game that's so easy to sink thousands of hours into.

If it wasn't for the world that Skyrim presents to you, it wouldn't really be anything too special. Behind everything it's a half functioning buggy experience, and yet there's still never been anything quite like it since it released and there likely won't ever be.

If you somehow haven't already experienced Skyrim yet, what are you doing?

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
