1. Abe's Ridiculous Possessed Exploding Farts - Oddworld Soulstorm
In what is perhaps the single most unforgivable sin in gaming history, Oddworld Inhabitants decided to not only remove the ability to fart on demand in Oddworld: Soulstorm, but also the ability to possess said farts.
Soulstorm was designed to be a retelling of Oddworld's classic game, Abe's Exoddus. As such, we couldn't expect every single thing to be the same, but one of the best mechanics of the original game was the aforementioned ability to possess farts.
In Exoddus, Abe could chug down a hearty glass of Soulstorm Brew, which promptly played havoc with his bowels and when he farted, it created a noxious cloud of green gas which would explode after a few seconds. You could then use Abe's chanting skills to possess the fart, and hilariously move it around the screen and blow up unsuspecting Sligs with your volatile bottom wind.
It was absolutely ridiculous stuff and one of the craziest weapons in gaming history, but it was also absolutely brilliant.
It's such a shame that the mechanic was omitted from Soulstorm. It would have been great to blow up Sligs with possessed farts in 4K.
