4. Destiny's Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher

In the original Destiny, there was one weapon that completely dominated the game's end-game activities for a significant period of time.

That weapon was the Gjallarhorn exotic rocket launcher, which was so powerful, it was for a time completely impossible to complete certain higher game activities without it, and many games even had 'Gjallarhorn Required' on their listings otherwise they'd kick you from the servers.

In practice, this rocket launcher was an extremely effective, high damage and high accuracy weapon that could be used at all ranges. It was capable of felling most enemies extremely quickly, and made bosses significantly easier too.

The Gjallarhorn's dominance in the game's end-game content forced Destiny developer Bungie's hands at a later date, and it was quietly pulled from sale to ensure that other weapons had a chance to be used and games remained more accessible to all players.

It returned later in Destiny 2, but was significantly nerfed compared to its original incarnation. It still packs a good punch though!
