3. Fallout 3's Ultra-Powerful Crit Machine - The Alien Blaster

In a game where you can literally carry around a rocket launcher that fires miniature nuclear warheads, you wouldn't think a tiny little alien blaster would be able to compete.

Wrong.

The Alien Blaster from Fallout 3 is possibly one of the most overpowered weapons in the entire series. This is purely because every single hit that emits from the blaster is a critical one. Combine that with decent shooting speed, and hitting an enemy in the head is basically a complete one-hit kill every single time.

There's just one problem with the blaster; it takes unique alien power cell ammunition, which is quite scarce across the Wastelands of Fallout 3. So pick your shots, and maybe save the blaster for whenever a Deathclaw or Super Mutant Behemoth rocks up!

In Fallout 4, a completely different version of the alien blaster appears. Different in appearance and its abilities, the incarnation in Fallout 4 is much weaker than its Fallout 3 incarnation, which is probably fair enough as the original was so strong it was almost completely game breaking.
