Although Modern Warfare 2's 'No Russian' scene is suitably controversial and ultimately very shocking, it's all down to player choice - some of whom actually missed it anyway thanks to Infinity Ward skimping out on the impact of said level by letting you skip the entire thing with a button press.

As we've become all-too-used to overly cinematic presentation and the sequelisation of Call of Duty titles, it's easy to forget just how game-changing the original couple were. With Captain Price sliding a pistol over to you in slow motion, those final few shots that echo out as you take down both soldiers and a rather startled-looking Makarov with expertly-placed shots is the 90's action-movie ending everybody always wanted to take part in.
