5. Being Hit With A Last-Minute Winner - Rocket League

It should never be underestimated just how much Rocket League's success came by surprise. Seemingly appearing out of nowhere, the little indie that could proceeded to take over the multiplayer world with its easy-to-learn-but-difficult-to-master brand of vehicular football, primed with a stellar set of mechanics deep enough to mould players who could pull off feats of athleticism that your can-barely-hit-a-backflip friends could only dream of pulling off.

Still, it doesn't matter how skilled you are, everyone revels in the same joy of winning a match, or even better, scoring the winning goal. But, while Rocket League can give so much joy with one hand, it can take it immediately away with another.

Because yeah, while being on the giving end of that last-minute winner can feel incredible, being on the receiving end can feel worse than death. Especially if you're in a tightly-contested match that goes to overtime, there's nothing worse than being powerless as your team is obliterated by incoming cars and the opposition pulls off an impossible shot that you've no chance of stopping.

I'd rather not play at all than feel that shame again.
