Crazy Taxi is one of Sega’s most iconic Dreamcast games, arriving in 2000 after releasing in arcades the year before. Playing an unnamed taxi driver, you’d aim to get passengers to their destination as fast as possible, earning more money depending on speed. It encouraged you to be as reckless as possible.

It’s not seen a proper sequel since 2007 (Disregarding the two mobile spin-offs) but was successful enough to warrant several sequels across Xbox, PSP, PC and PS2 at the time. One of these sequels was Catch a Ride, which released for the Game Boy Advance.

It pushed the GBA’s graphical capabilities to the absolute limit, recreating the 3D format of the original - and it suffered as a result. Limiting you to a D-Pad control system, its technical ambition is to be applauded if little else.

Gameplay suffered because of this visual push and it simply didn't translate well to portable platforms at the time, releasing to negative reviews.
