EA have always been precariously balanced on the edge of riddling their games with incessant micro-transactions, but after the Battlefront 2 debacle and the fan backlash upon Battlefield V’s initial release micro-transactions were noticeably scaled back.
While you can spend to your heart’s (or wallet’s) content, you’ll only be spending your hard-earned cash on a series of skins for your avatars and weapons. All bonus weapons can be bought using the in-game currency or by completing the various bounties and tiers that continue during the current Tides of War chapter.
While it would be nice to see all of the content entirely purchasable within the game, it is refreshing that the cash-grabbing side of the game can be entirely ignored as you rip up the battlefield.
