10 Reasons To Be Excited About Telltale's Game Of Thrones Video Game

7. Choices

This is more to do with the structure of Telltale's games, but it does play a big part in the Game of Thrones narrative. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and the choices you make should have lasting consequences to the narrative, making you think long and hard about them. Playing in Westeros, this could be deciding which faction to ally yourself with or more along the black and white lines of good and evil. There could be some issues in this area, as they surely must have to follow along the story that is in place. You couldn't warn Stannis about Blackwater or save Rob from the Red Wedding, for example. This doesn't mean that you couldn't play the part of a 'lesser' character, whose decisions could help to shape these world changing events. In a game set in such a dark universe, it would be hard to remain an honourable character and therein lies the struggle. The choices you make throughout the series might not be able to change major events, but on a smaller scale they could really make them seem to matter. Wouldn't it be interesting to see more of the people that inhabit Westeros, not just the outright heroes and villains?
