10 Reasons To Be Excited About Telltale's Game Of Thrones Video Game
4. Betrayal
You can't have any Song of Ice and Fire adaptation without people screwing each other over (or just plain screwing each other, I suppose). Betrayal is a day to day occurrence in Westeros, to the point that you'd be disappointed if it became less frequent. Some might say it's a bit of a cheap plot device to have people switching alliances at the drop of a hat, but I think it's a good way to keep things interesting. The best way to go about this would be a healthy mixture of letting you choose to betray people, but also having them do the same to you depending on your actions. You shouldn't be able to trust anyone fully, this is a feudal kingdom after all and everyone wants someone different to be the ruler of it. Will you play like Roose Bolton and sneakily cosy up to your enemies before striking or more like Tywin Lannister who keeps people at a distance with his cold glare and dangerous reputation? A successful Game of Thrones adaptation will give you these choices to make - it must be complex and it must have depth. Judging by their original characters in the Walking Dead universe and how they interacted, I'd say there's little chance they'll disappoint when they move from Atlanta to Westeros.
