10 Reasons Why Project Zomboid Is The Best Zombie Game Ever

2. The Map is Huge

Taking place in Knox County, Kentucky (yes, that one place with the chicken), Project Zomboid has a large map filled with real towns like Muldraugh, dense forests that might have a zombie or three hidden away behind its trees, military bases that could have some handy weapons and rations lying around, and after the latest update, an entire city with Louisville.

It can take you hours to make it from one side of the map to the other, and that’s assuming you have a car that won’t break down or run out of gas beforehand. Each location presents its own challenges, from zombie population to the amount of weapons and supplies you can find, so exploring and base building can be a varied and fun experience.

No two places on the map are exactly alike, and there are more than a few rewards for those brave enough to explore. It may make you reconsider visiting Kentucky though.
