10 Reasons You're Wrong About Star Wars Battlefront
4. The Scale Is Unprecedented
As a self-admitted console peasant and inexperienced multiplayer gamer, it might not mean much to say that as soon as I started up my first game on Hoth I was blown away by the scale of it all. There is so much going on all the time, all involving 40 players on a large open map where giant AT-ATs are pushing the chaos forward toward an inevitable conclusion. At any given time there are countless lasers whizzing by your head, explosions caking the landscape, and space ships circling above you in a deadly dance, all of it player controlled. Its overwhelming in the best possible way, and there were times where you just want to stop and take it all in. There have been a lot of Star Wars games, but never one this involved or massive or engaging. For perhaps the first time, a game truly made me feel like a soldier on the ground of an immense battle in the Star Wars universe. And that was just the Hoth level, so imagine what other famous locations like Tatooine or Endor will be like. If those levels are rendered at the same scale and detail as Hoth, then there is much to look forward to when the finished game is released.
