10 Released Wrestlers Who Will Still Be In WWE 2K22

7. Nia Jax

The end of Nia's run with WWE was rather confusing.

Conflicting reports discussed everything from deteriorating mental health to rumours of COVID vaccine refusal. Meanwhile, pro wrestling fans were left wondering exactly why Jax had been let go. Ye olde "budget cuts" was another reason cited, and that seems like the most plausible considering WWE's public reasoning for slashing numbers across the board.

Nia, like Keith Lee, left WWE on 4 November 2021. That means she still has a great chance of being included on the 2K22 line up and earning some more money from Vince McMahon's coffers before exploring other ventures away from the wrasslin' biz.

The company's female ranks feel a little thin at the moment too, and that's another reason why Jax could sneak onto the playable roster. Being honest, the game world will probs be a little outdated anyway; Nia's tag-team with Shayna Baszler seems like it'll still be "active" come launch.
