10 Resident Evil Games That Desperately Need A Remake
6. Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Another boat-based entry and a funny mix of third person exploration, coupled with light gun shooting.
It feels like an experiment that would lead up to the likes of Resident Evil 4 with the move from fixed camera angles to a third person view, as well as the greater emphasis placed on shooting and action. There's definitely some similarities between protagonist Bruce McGivern's appearance and Leon's.
There are some good and interesting ideas in terms of setting, level design, and good lighting effects. The zombie models look great. However, while the graphics are pretty good, it does look rather drab, even compared to some of the original games. Plus, the main character models and other enemies look really bad, so it definitely needs a face lift.
It's also the strongest entry in the Gun Survivor branch of the series (more on that later), so if they decided to retain the light gun aspect of the gameplay, that could make for a good time on the Switch given the versatility of the Joy cons.
Regardless, this forgotten little gem deserves a second chance to reach its true potential.
