10 Retro FPS Games We Need On Consoles
1. Quake
After the re-release of Doom on consoles, as well as the celebration of its anniversary, it seemed only natural that Quake would follow suit... but it didn't.
Despite being one of the most famous FPS games ever made, it's never received the same level of love despite its legacy (the Quake Engine would be used to make Half Life and more).
There's still a dedicated fan base who still make mods and matches; there have been tonnes of upgrades and new levels added too. Originally folks tried desperately to get it to run on consoles (the N64 and Playstation 1) back in the day, but it didn't work. It just served to remind us all that P.C. shooters shouldn't be played with D-Pads or a single analogue stick.
Now, thanks to the power and technical developments of modern consoles, as well as online play, everyone could potentially enjoy everything Quake has to offer and more. They could finally make up for what console gamers have been missing all these years.
