10 Retro Marvel Video Games You Forgot Existed

2. Howard The Duck

There are many weird and wonderful characters to be found throughout the history of Marvel, and Howard the Duck will be somewhere high on that list. Despite a chequered history, Howard was the star of the most absurd Marvel movie in history in 1986, and to top it off he even has a game.

In what is likely the first ever Marvel tie-in game to coincide with the release of a movie, Howard the Duck was a game that could be played on both the Commodore 64 or the ZX Spectrum.

Interestingly, the game was published by the monolithic company Activision in the first decade of the company's existence. How times have changed.

Sadly, this tie-in game seemingly set a precedent for the future of all movie tie-in games by being poorly reviewed and criticised. Though the movie has been revisited, and its praises somewhat improved, the same can not be said for this relic of a long forgotten computing era.
