In any medium, Wolverine is easily the X-Men's golden goose. He's the only mutant to get his own series of films, and when it comes to the gaming world he's also had a fair share of solo outings too.

Much like The Punisher, Wolverine's last solo game was way back in 2009, a tie-in for the X-Men Origins movie of the same name. However long before the 2009 outing, there was a game released in 1994 called Wolverine: Adamantium Rage released by the now defunct Acclaim Entertainment.

The game was unusually developed by two different studios for two different platforms (Mega Drive & SNES), which led to some minor differences in the gameplay, but with the same ambiguous narrative. Essentially the game has you playing as Wolverine's as he goes out on a mission to recollect his past, fighting Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth along the way.

Like many games towards the end of the Mega Drive and SNES cycles, the game wasn't well received, and met by poor sales. To be honest, you're probably better off playing The Incredible Hulk by US Gold, also on the Mega Drive. It's cheaper to buy and more fun to play.
